What happens after awakening?

I am less interested in convincing people what awakening is than in exploring what we become capable of after it.

My interest in this territory comes partly from lived experience. Some years ago I went through a profound spiritual and energetic transformation, including what I understand as a Kundalini awakening. What followed was not a neat resolution but a long and careful attempt to understand what had happened, what changed afterwards, and what the experience means when it is brought back into ordinary life. I do not present my interpretation of that experience as a settled fact. I hold it lightly, as one way of describing something that no single framework fully explains.

HOW I WORK

Curious, not dogmatic

I investigate consciousness and transformation across multiple perspectives rather than from any single doctrine.

Ancient spiritual traditions

Yogic, mystical and contemplative maps of extraordinary inner experience.

The mind and nervous system

Contemporary understanding of how profound change meets the body and its regulation.

Lived experience

What actually happened, as distinct from the story we tell about it.

Energy practices

Working with the felt sense of subtle energy, held with discernment.

Consciousness studies

Bringing disciplined curiosity to questions of awareness and identity.

A CORE PRINCIPLE

Experience is not the same as interpretation

We can know that something profound happened without automatically knowing why it happened or what it ultimately means. That distinction — between the experience and the meaning we give it — sits at the heart of everything I do.

01

Openness to mystery

There is room for the unknown without abandoning critical thought.

02

Discernment

Curiosity about what we know, and about what we merely believe.

03

Personal agency

Eventually we investigate for ourselves, questioning even the teachings we love.

I am not here to convince you

I don't claim to possess all the answers. I am investigating important questions and sharing what I discover. If that curiosity resonates, you may find something here to sit with.
